Facts Abut Maui


  1. Maui made a fishing line made of flax and he used a jawbone to secure the line. 
  2. The big fish he cached is the North Island.
  3. He says his karakia and they caught lots of fish.

    Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey programme. My name is Ellee and I will be blogging with you this summer. You've done a great job with your first activity, I loved that you noticed Maui's Karakia or prayer helped with his brothers fishing!

    I thought the part of the story where one brother blamed his other brother for eating too much kumara and making the boat heavier was funny! What did you like about the story?
